Mushrooms or simply shrooms are naturally occurring type of foods. It may be wild or cultivated type. It is liked by many as a choice of food or just an additive to foods. Mushrooms emerge from the earth just like the toadstools. They are so similar such that that one may end up interchanging them. Mushroom resemble a grass-thatched house in shape .mushrooms have become a business as the demand to it has increased. This has led to artificial mushrooms which can be grown even without the need of soil.
Magic mushroom is one category of magic mushrooms that differs from the common edible mushrooms. The magic mushroom is a type of mushroom that contain a drug known as psilocybin. Psilocin or psilocybin is a kind of a drug that causes hallucinations. This is a state of seeing images that do not exist. This mushrooms can be eaten in dried form or fresh. The psilocybin drug may be injected or snorted as a form of drug administration.
However this mushroom can also be added to tea, mixed with cooked foods or simply added to fruit juice if powdered. The magic mushroom is made of several types.
Psilocybe semilanceata
Semilanceata also known as liberty cap, this is a famous mushroom which contains the Psilocybin. This type of mushroom grows in damp areas, grassy places especially which is mostly grazed by sheep or cattle. But it does not grow direct and feed on dung .This type has small size compared to others. It comes in two colours: brown or light yellow. The semilanceata mushroom has a pointed cap.
Psilocybe Cubensis
Cubensis is the other kind of magic mushroom. This is the most common of all the psilocybe mushrooms on the go. It has been given several names: Mexican mushroom, large psilocybe and golden cap.it comes in different types. Its cap mostly appears reddish brown in colour, with a yellowish or white stem. When it is crushed or bruised, the flesh (which is so sticky) turns brown. This is what people use to define it as magic. This type grows in humid and moist climates. It also grows on the dung. Therefore, it is found in cattle and sheep grazing areas.
Psilocybe baeocystis
This magic mushroom has a cap which is dark brown in colour. Its stem is yellowish or brown.
It is found in open fields beside it growing on rotten logs, mulch or peat. It has been nicknamed: bottle cap, blue bell and potent psilocybe.
